Here's the eighth stage of WarioWare: Smooth Moves, "The Invent-Off." The focus is on Penny, the granddaughter of Dr. Crygor. She's inherited her grandpa's massive intellect, but not his cynicism.
Anyway, when I said I had an announcement to make, I meant for it to be in this video. There is now another fire spreading through the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles county. It's known as the Sayre Fire, and while my family's home isn't in the path of the fire, the firefighters are having a rough time with it. The winds are still strong, and the firefighters had to abandon a trailer park and let it burn to the ground. Hundreds of homes have been burned, and many more in the cities of Montecito and San Luis Obispo elsewhere in California, all of them wind-related. About 120 miles of the U.S. Route 101 highway has been shut down, and Governor Arnold has declared a state of emergency.
Don't be too alarmed though--this is a part of Californian life. It's not all sunshine and earthquakes.
Back to the matter, Penny's stage is the last one in the game to introduce new stances, at least under normal circumstances. (There's still Orbulon up ahead and his three variations on "The Diner," but that's a separate part of the story.) This time, you can play sitting down, which is good for me because of the architecture and furniture placement of the room I'm in. The Boxer has you gripping the Wii Remote, palm down, the Remote itself parallel with the sensor bar. The Finger Food means the Wii Remote is pointed at the sensor bar, but tilted so the buttons are facing the side. The Mortar and Pestle involves both hands, the palm of other hand against the bottom of the Wii Remote held vertically. What these three have in common is that they're more about elbow and forearm movement than the wrist-oriented stuff earlier in the game.
Penny's Microgames are also a bit tougher to figure out. For the shredding one, you need to make sufficiently large circles and pretend like you're actually cranking something. The paper-straightening one requires you to move slowly and minutely. Those are the two I hear people having a lot of trouble with.
I am on that wierd part of YouTube again ....

@fourgirls919 Sure. WarioWare has aways been about nonsense.

I thought the thermometer minigame was rather odd to throw into a game like this. I don't think many people that would fall into the audience category this game appeals to, would know how to reset a CLASSIC thermometer. >_>

@SamOliver4 I've never had to do it myself, but I've seen it on TV.
