@dwillpro I know this is an old argument, but id just like to point out that the 5D is full frame when the D300 is not. Full frame always wins. Otherwise, the D300 is among, if not the best you can get in that class.

Ok, i'm going to have to change the info on this video. I was upgrading to the 40D, and my 1D Mark II was at my office. The Rebel XT was the only thing I had at the moment. I now have a 5D2, and two 7D's on order. Geez, oh and I have a new Canon EF 200mm F2.0 L IS USM yeah.. the $5300 one. :)

SERIOUSLY dude wtf? you have a canon 300mm telephoto on a Rebel XT? you should have just bought a damn d300!

SERIOUSLY DUDE WTF? Read the info. It was a tweener camera. And I'd never waste my money on a Nikon. My 3 year old 5D has sharper per pixel sharpness, and slightly more res too.
