Ahahaha, no.. That is most certainly not the way to save it as a standard image file.. Lol. You people think that the designers of sketchup are cavemen?
If you want to export as a standard image file, go to File>Export>2D Model. There you go.
If you mean save a picture of it, you have to take a screenshot which is alt+prtsc... or if you have an hp computer fn+prtsc.
If you mean how do you make an animation, you must go to view>animation>add scene for each place that you want to show in the movie. Then when you're done: file>export>animation.

you can do a lot more than that in sketchup once you learn how to use all the features, keep it up though :)
