Talks between Egyptian and German defense officials over Cairo's intentions to purchase a number of Dolphin-class submarines is a cause of concern to Israel's defense establishment, who fear that if Egypt gets its hands on the submarine it will have the ability to close major sea routes in the region. Our (Israel) dolphin submarine is a Type 209 that has been especially built and elongated, basically for the purpose of firing cruise missiles (probably including nuclear Popeye missiles). The Egypt will buy a different Type 209 or Type 214 submarine for a different purposes (they don't have cruise missile capability)

I dont respect the govt of Egypt under Mubarek, i respect the people, dont confuse the two. On one hand one can say, they did not break their treaty with Israel, but on the other, Israel broke the treaty first by their war crimes in Gaza etc. I salute Turkey for standing up to a bully Israel, I wish Egypt would have shown similar courage but again, under Mubarek I dont expect much, but I do expect the people of Egypt to stand up to pissrael.
