Varkala is a beach town near Trivandrum, Kerala, India. Best part of Varkala is the virgin beaches with huge white foamy waves and the cliff above (called North Cliff) which houses a wide variety of resorts, restaurants, massage centers and a helipad.

  • you can take the train or better a bus. it costs very less, about ~Rs.50 and is very convenient. From the Varkala station , take an auto/ tuk tuk to the beach

  • Hey there, what is the best way to get from Cochin to this beach? Would you advise a pre-paid taxi service or other form of transport? Any recommendations for hotels?

  • crowded with ex hippies and eatoholic westeners.............the beach is small and not clean for my taste,..................
