I actually don't know how far along the single was at this point, but maybe she allowed herself to be convinced to lip sync because not everyone had hear the track in it's original form. Besides, she such a gifted vocalist, and they don't autotune the hell out of her vocals that she sounds almost the same live, anyway.

@GermiSmith I don't think Alison likes to have to lip sync at all - they seem to be made to do it on TV shows and the like but if you've ever gone to her live show you'd know for sure she certainly rocks it live... absolutely no lip syncing. I saw her live a couple of weeks ago in Australia and she performed most of the songs off her new album "head first' (amazing performance) and many of our favs from felt mountain, supernature etc.... all live, all brilliant.

So, this is one of the more insightful interviews I've seen with her; most people just ask her a lot of fluffy questions. I just wish the performance(s) weren't lip-synced.

Even though Alison's blond she reminds ma alot of Siouxise in this interview. Maybe it's a Brit vibe. I dunno. This was a great show at Roseland NYC.
