Boehner on PBS Newshour: GOP Leader Discusses Democrats Health Care Proposals

http://gopleader.gov Appearing this evening on PBS NewsHour, House Republican Leader John Boehner (R-OH) discussed the health care proposal introduced by Sen. Max Baucus (D-MT) yesterday, calling it the same costly, big-government approach the American people have already rejected. Boehner also addressed the American peoples increasing concerns and frustrations about the policies of the Obama Administration, whether its the trillion-dollar stimulus, the mounting debt on our children and grandchildren, and the Democrats proposed government takeover of health care.

Republicans have some great solutions for improving our health care system. I hope that many of their ideas can be worked into a competent and beneficial plan to make positive changes to health care reform.

I don't understand how any sane or rational person would support a government-run health care plan. Not only would the quality of the govenment-run program be inadequate, but it would have a negative affect on the entire healh care system and lower the quality of everyones' health care.

Even though half the working class don't pay any taxes( when you factor in E.I., child credits, wel-fare,etc.) It's a proven fact that hi taxes stifle job creation. Millionaires have left states likeCali, NY and Maryland b/c their taxes went up, so they moved to states w/ NO income tax. Seeing a pattern? You want fair? Tell your Reps to pass the FairTax Bill. BTW it's not an addition to all other taxes, it Replaces them. No more IRS. Look it up.

@HYDRASHOQ The first thing boehner did when he became speaker of the house was he pushed for and passed the geoge w bush tax cuts . This sucks. This means that for people tht make over 250 k a year get a break on their taxes and everybody else doesnt.. Not only is that unfair to the average american,we have to pay higher taxes than the wealthy now. but its also proven that its going to increase the deficit.BYALOT. Obama foought for middle class tax cuts aginst boehner but obama lost cuz boner
