  • @kamikazeaz : Well ... if you purchased the plans for this clock, it would show it. However, it should not be too difficult to find the right spot with a little trial and error.

  • @adrianiredale thank you mr Iredale. I suspected there were some kind of protrustion sticking out of the centre wheel that lifts the chime arm and then releases it when the minute hand is at 12. Now I know for sure. All that remains is to guess at what point do i need to place those protrusions

  • @kamikazeaz : Ok, now I get it. The chime arm on a post in the frame so it pivots freely. On the chime arm is s small protrusion. Behind the centre wheel (which turns once per hour). is a small arm that lifts the chime arm by catching on the chime arm protrusion. It releases (falls off the protrusion) when the minute hand is at 12.

  • @adrianiredale i see that, yes, but i was talking about the connection between that long piece (which has the chime on its end) and one of the big wheels. I mean one of those big wheel must make it move every hour. I can't figure this part out...

  • @kamikazeaz : The large wheels are connected with lanern pinions. You can see this at about 26 seconds into the video.

  • @adrianiredale there must be some connection with one of the two big wheels doesn't it?

  • @kamikazeaz : Yes

  • so the chimes ring every hour?

  • Beautiful clocks. One suggestion. Normally music dresses up a video, but in this case the sound of the clock is the music. Unfortunately, it cannot be heard over the "musac." I'm afraid it is just frustrating.

  • That is one phenomonal clock there excelant work is all that I can say.
