btw dude, using math, and my knowledge of sound, that strike was a mile and half away from you.
(It took 7 seconds before you heard sound, that means 2401 meters awaw, aprox 1600 meters is a mile. That leaves 800 meters.)

Yeah, just this year while we were driving to florida, there was a storm and the bold didnt sound like thunder you normally hear, instead it was of a REALLY loud, CRACK.

thats actually not that close, I've been much closer before. You can tell how close it is by counting the seconds between the flash and the boom. The storm I got caught in there was a bolt that hit a couple hundred yards away from us. The boom was like a whip crack amplified by 1000. Good footage none the less though!
