  • Good slide show! Thanks.

Fujara is my favorite overtone flute.

What kind of wood is traditionally used for fujara making?

  • @raysteer Sweet!, that sounds like a good idea! Thank you so much :D:D

  • @cowboy2sk If you are still interested I'm sure you could arrange to buy one from the guy himself.

  • @RussiaLove1905 There are smaller sizes of fujara, if you get in touch with a maker I'm sure it could easily be arranged.

  • @ruantplat Mostly Elder, but I believe sometimes Ash, Hazel, False Acacia and Maple (?), the drilling out requires that the wood has a distinct pith, so Elder is ideal.

  • love the instrument so much I wish my hands were a little bigger though for the holes!

  • thank you for posting this excellent sound of slovak fujara. Where can I buy one of those instruments?

  • This is beautiful sound our Slovakia fujara! Toto je nádherný zuk našej slovenskej fujary!

  • thank you

  • wood is sambucus nigra -latin name-
