it's interesting to see how there's mixed reactions to the "modern" style, i personally liked it, it's putting the traditional folk dance and showing some creativity with it, i really don't see anything wrong with doing that.. :) and this thing about "respecting" the folk dance, it's really not a disrespect to it, if anything i prefer to think about it as a tribute, that's my opinion on it. great job guys ^_^

not so nice making a traditional folk dance into modern one
-
also..it was ok for me..it was good!=)

seriously...keep the traditional!...it's better and if you want to change it or add stuff to it...dont changed it or add stuff like those "sexy" moves...just saying...keep it traditional...respect it!

whoops, get rid of the question mark after 'time"

i really dont understand what everyone is complaining about; how was this dance bad? they performed the traditional version and then they incorporated some dance from THEIR time? They've honored their culture and tradition through performing it the traditional way, the stuff at the end was just extra entertainment so that their friends could relate. Stop the bashing, we're all pilipino here, it's embarassing watching your own countrymen go at each other's throats.

The traditional dance did not lose its integrity since it was done entirely in its form; the follow up hip hop dance is not a modern version or interpretation since it merely applies the mechanics of the folk dance.
That's how I viewed it...and why I enjoyed it.

I agree
why must all pcn cultural dances turn into a hip hop routine?
