The Ventures were my favorite band in the 60s. I bought every album released in the U.S until about 1974 and I even owned a Ventures model Mosrite. You guys are great and thanks for the memories. The Ventures in Space is still one of my all-time favorite albums. Best!

Is that an original '63 Mosrite that billy is playing? It looks real nice. You guys sound great!

Thanks for the comment and question. The Mosrite guitar in this video is a 1984 model built by Semie Mosley (his initials are in the serial number) and he signed the back of the headstock. Billy also owns an all-original 1965 Sunburst Mosrite with the stock VibraMute tailpiece. It's too die for - I've never heard anything like it. By the way, my Mosrite bass is an original 1966 with a single hi-fi pickup, which produces a big thumping sound!
Thanks again, Charlie Aesque

BTW, Walk Down Run was the first record I bought. It was a .45 single and I was 11 when it came out. It was like no other song at the time and it was incredibly influential on the music of the times.

Yeah, Walk Don't Run '64 was the record that did it for me. They captured the wet Fender reverb effect so perfectly for that studio session, I haven't heard anything like it since. I still get chills listening to that song.
