Huanglongxi, Sichuan province of China

Video of an old, small and colourfull town in Sichuan, 50 km south of Chengdu. Nowadays its a touristic town - filmmakers love it - but one can also enjoy daily life, for instance in the many temples.

i work in beijing, the capital of China. i return to my beautiful town once or twice a year. so i miss it very much. it has changed a lot in the past year. now the main street has been trurned into a river and brigdes, making the whole town like a natural park.

i believe you will like it more.

thanks. my hometown is a little far from the center of the earthquake, so it didn't suffer from damage. everything is all right in the town. Sichuan people will recover soon with the support and efforts from peopel all over the nation and the world. thanks again.

haha~~ you really ask the right person, I love sichuan food very much, and I can cook it

the sauce is very different, not only the peppers but also the prodecure of producing, it is specailized only in one county near chengdu and the weather and the temperature and the wet degree, andwe sichuanese think food has his own spirits,if you cook it with emotions and the one who eat will feel it through food.

I have another question about Sichuan. Maybe you know the answer. Over here (Holland) we can buy Sichuan sauce but it is not made with Sichuan Peppers but with red peppers. Is there a big difference between these two peppers ? I would appreciate it if you want to answer, because I liked the Sichuan food very much. Thanks.

it is beautiful,and it is different from huanglongxi, 5,00or more years ago because of Qing' battle in sichuan, there were less population left in Sichuan,so the Qing government asked the people from hu nan guang dong and other places to move into sichuan, so formed an old town,luo dai is where the descendants of those people live, they speak cantoongese there

OK ! Well, we have only been one week in en around Chengdu. Much to short. But Sichuan made a big impression on me. And I cherish my visit to Huanglongxi. I haven't been in Luo Dai. Is it as beautiful as Huanglonxi ?

Hope to return one day to Sichuan and stay longer !

hehe~ I often go there to buy fish, I live in chengdu I am from chengdu city originally, have you ever been to luo dai? another old town near chengdu, there is greatwall in south of china I oftern go there to climb the great all to lose weight,hehe
