Got doubts about the environmental movement? Then this vid is for you! In just three minutes this video vignette about Earthkeeper Heroes Mark Shearer and Nick Gardner will restore your faith that the green movement is alive and well!

These cheeky lads are based in South London and have started Project Dirt (www.projectdirt.com), an interactive "ecommunity." They've set out to show the world that there's plenty to be optimistic about in the grass-roots environmental change arena.

Follow their adventures and dig in with 'em at www.changents.com/projectdirt!

  • 2.35 correct you need scale to change the world but why do you not start in countrys as india china africa where al the poluted cars are driving and where the all dump chemicals into the sea ect

by the way are you also supporters of the fake clobal warming that doesent exist !!

    ill hope not!!

  • Nice one - good, quick and simple. As one of the other comments says - clear info on the main site on all these projects will help

  • Thanks for the info - I'll certainly google that, just to see if there's anything I can copy cheaply or think aout for when finances permit :D

  • Hi cmfarrell36,

The Clapham Tree House is a remarkable animal. The building has a large PV array, solar thermal and ground-source-heat-pump for space heating and to assist the solar thermal system on dull days. Much more info can be found on their website (YouTube wont let me post a link so please google for "clapham tree house")

  • The video shows some of the work happening in some areas of London.

It didn't really show information about the tree house that was said in the video to produce as much electricity as it uses - more info please?

Growing fruit, veg, herbs - I'll be happy to use my wee bit of back garden - as soon as neighbourhood cats are stopped from using it for territorial spraying.
