While he does sometimes have his off days, Chino has been sounding better than ever in recent concerts! There are also some great performances from 2003 once his voice had recovered.

At the time of this concert Chino was suffering from inflammation of the right vocal chord and partial paralysis of the left. He was told by his doctor to stop singing completely for a few months but didn't want to cancel any concerts and upset his fans. I think it's forgivable that he doesn't sound too good here at all! Since then his vocal chords have recovered and he's taken lessons and learned techniques to look after his voice better.

this is a very vocally demanding song, and like buzzcrushtrendkill said, this is fuckin 2001, they've put out more than one already vocally demanding album and been touring for so long, he can't play perfect every single concert. i was lucky enough to hear him nail all the screams on May 17 in Baltimore, fuckin ROCKED \m/ deft4life

Dont get me wrong. Deftones are one of the greatest bands ever. But there is a period after WHITE PONY where his voice wasnt the same. Maybe throat problems.... I think this vid is from that period. Long live DEFTONES!!!!! Get well CHI CHENG>
