Yeah, whether something Lolita is brand or not, it doesn't matter. Being an elitist about brand is really stupid, but being jealous of girls who wear brand is just as bad. Both extremes are terrible! I love both BTSSB and Bodyline. Good video. :)

@LolitaCupcakeXD I know that, I'm not saying brand is evil or anything, nor are the girls who buy from them of course. I just get tired of seeing some Lolitas say that only brand is Lolita ( You may not have seen this, but trust me, I have. ) and that if you can't afford brand you might as well stop trying to be a Lolita. Again, I have nothing against people who buy brand. But I do have something against people who expect me to buy brand, too. That's all I'm saying.
You know, I understand that a lot of Lolitas work hard for their brand, and I respect that, others should too.
But some Lolitas work hard just for Bodyline and handmade. My family has a ton of medical bills and I can hardly afford BODYLINE. So yah, I get pretty mad when some Lolitas say that you have to have brand to be a Lolita.
I respect it that you work hard for your brand though. To me, it's pretty much a waste of money though when I can get something just as cute for a lower price.

@AngelFluttershy767 I've never come across a lolita who has said that you have to have brand to be a lolita, and that's in all the time I've been a lolita. I have heard a lot of newer lolitas who think that you have to own brand to be a lolita, but it's not the case at all. I love the brand prints and the quality. People say "You shouldn't put up with brand overpricing" and it's like well, they're in a niche business & Lolita isn't a charity, if you can't afford it.

@AngelFluttershy767 (continued frompreviouscomment) Don't put yourself out of pocket for it, but it's people who can't really afford it on their budget who complain about the girls who can. They aren't dissing on girls who wear bodyline because chances are they wear bodyline too. Back onto the "Brand overpricing" the materials are quality (satin, cotton, expensive specially designed lace) -- That's a cost, It's not usual for them to be hand stitched -- that's a cost. etc. The items are not cheap

@AngelFluttershy767 (continued AGAIN) They're not cheap to make. Therefore not cheap to sell. Also, it's not like lolita is a essential, so I don't really get girls who think that brand should lower their prices. It's not a right to have lolita it's a hobby, a luxury. You don't see CHANNEL handing out free items to people who can't afford it because their items are priced too high. Because they run a business. Bodyline also runs a business and it caters all girls.

I saw a Lolita post on EGL yesterday that her 200 dollar brand shoes had fallen apart after a couple hours of wear. And that's not the first time I've seen something like that happen, I've heard lots of other Lolitas complain about brand's shoe quality. Really for 200 dollars you should be getting a really good shoe, not a piece of crap.
My shoes are from Bodyline, cost me 37 dollars plus shipping of course, I wear them a lot and they still look great.
Brand does not mean better.

@AngelFluttershy767 Brand isn't usually bad quality in their dresses, Shoes, I've heard of being bad once.
Otherwise I haven't heard of many problems. Bodyline is great, I have nothing against them. (Except now shipping from them is super expensive.)
