It's a great starter tablet for those who don't want the latest tech but do want good quality, a decent display and a full size USB host port.

Thanks for the very nice and objective review. I'm torn between the iconia a200 and the samsung 8.9. Am leaning more to the a200 because of the usb and microSD.

How's the a200 as an ereader? I have a kindle but I would also love to occasionally read epubs and kindle books on a tablet (not in the sun of course).

@FulciLives The A500 has a poor mic, in our tests of the A200 with Skype, the mic is fine.

@angelinoff You know your Galaxy Note has one of the fastest mobile CPUs? Just cause it's smaller, doesn't mean it's not a Ferrari :)

My a200 wont upgrade to ICS every time the download for it gets done a window pops up and says "Invalid update"

i was going to get the acer a-500 now im going to get the a-200. I was about to order the a-500 today but then i saw this now i really cant wait to get my hands on the a-200 thanks for the review loved it :)
