i agree completely man. i'm the same way. it just depends, some songs are better off learned without tabs, some are just too technical for me to learn so i sit down and tab it out note by note. also, some songs need that extra thump of the fingers instead of the metallic cutting sound of the pick. sorry for the late reply, and yeah, it's nice to see someone using an esp not for just metal.

Yeah the first video I uploaded without realising ffs!... And since there's no obvious way I can see how to delete a video I thought sod it!

what's so bad about tabs and a pick? i use both and i think i function well as a bass player

@ shinjiyasuno "be as versatile as you can" yeah I totally agree.. When I gig I use a heavy rough edge pick ..mainly for rocking out.. I also slap like a mf... but with fingers I find I can pull more tone from the strings.. so I guess it's down to the suitability of the song to how you play it.. I think more importantantly than this is how much of yourself you put into it ;)
