@canadianmatt3 To all of you who are good with this...THANK YOU. I joined the RCN but by the time I got my orders, Ottawa (we know who was responsible) had changed many things. But my statement is: it's not "the" HMCS, it is simply "HMCS".
I love the Navy and the traditions. It's too damned bad those who never knew the services wanted so much to destroy the loyal traditions which MEANT something.
Without tradition (knowledge of the past) there is nothing. And higfny is correct.

Years back in Shediac, they had the HMCS Hamilton. I don't remember much, but I'd love to go on Royal Canadian Navy vessel anyday. Not much into the sea, More into Army, but all three elements, with the support of the Civilians, help protect one of the greatest countries to exsist on this planet.

This some good shit.

@ginsengsamurai im glad you put it like that. It might be strange, but I sort of of wish I could say the same. Whatever you think of it, the Anglo-saxon culture has done more for freedom and human rights than any other on this planet. Canada should be proud to celebrate those links, and also the fact that Canada now maybe is the greatest country still under the British crown. Good luck to you mates, Canada is a wonderful country, and a strong Canada makes the world better.

@higfny: I totally agree. I love that we're going back to our roots and re-recognizing our sovereign ties with our Queen.
BTW Matt, love the video.
