Get Ready! Alumni, friends and family of Yeshiva University are invited to celebrate Homecoming on September 18, 2011, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at 500 West 185th Street on Yeshiva University's Wilf Campus in Washington Heights.
Homecoming, the first in more than a quarter of a century, will be highlighted by a Block Party featuring carnival games and rides for children, sports clinics with current student-athletes and YU coaches, a student organization fair and campus tours. There will also be live musical performances by the Maccabeats, the University's internationally-acclaimed a cappella group, and popular Jewish rock band, Blue Fringe.
The day will begin with Talmudic lectures and group discussions led by Rabbi Dr. Jacob J. Schacter and Professor Smadar Rosenzweig. During the day, alumni will also have the chance to experience what it's like to be a Yeshiva University student in 2011 when they are given the opportunity to attend a class of their choice, taught by one of the University's premier faculty members. To conclude, there will be a Town Hall meeting led by University President Richard M. Joel.
