Tracing in every line of her pedigree through a Mulawa Arabian's bred or owned horse, and sired by the Australian, US and Canadian National Champion Stallion, Fame Maker R(imp USA), Christabella Rose was chosen as the foundation mare for Rival Arabians, established in 2005. Rose epitomises the true desert Arabian, with a unique pedigree combining four cornerstone stallions of the Arabian breed - Bey Shah+, El Shaklan, Padron and Bask.

"She's a fiery little thing" - Dr. Richard Philstrom (France)

Although only shown lightly due to injury, Rose has been a formidable presence in the WA show ring, placing well under only amateur training and preparation. On her second outing she was awarded 2nd Arabian Mare Classic Trot and 2nd Arabian Mare 4-6 years under judge Dr. Richard Philstrom (France). Her show career culminated in the 2005 WA State Championships where she was awarded Reserve State Champion Intermediate Mare (4-7 years) under respected Judge and breeder, Ms. Cindy Reich (USA), handled by Michelle Thomas of Lea-ells Training Centre (QLD).

"This mare is very balanced and feminine. Could do with a little more femininity up front ... but still feminine enough to win at this level" - Ms. Cindy Reich (US).

We believe if given the opportunity she would have followed in the footsteps of her six 3/4 siblings, all being National honours winners. Instead she has proven herself a well balanced and trainable dressage mount, a capable and keen jumper, a stunningly beautiful trail horse and perhaps most importantly, a friend to many people.

"She's too good to be a broodmare" - various.

Rose begins a new career with the birth of her first foal in 2008, sired by American Hero (imp USA). This foal is bred triple Bey Shah+ (over 21%), double Padron (over 9.3%), with over 96.8% imported US bloodlines, carrying the Mirage tail male on both parents. Kuhaylan Rodan strain. Expressions of interest invited.

We are proud to breed only from purebred mares of unequalled beauty, pedigree, temperament, conformation and athletic capability. Our foals are planned through many hours of pedigree analysis, utilising centuries-old linebreeding techniques to reliably produce breed type. All Rival Arabians sell with a promotional package valued at over $2000, including photography portfolio, DVD, website and domain name.
