  • This movie is up there as far as greatest crime films ever made. The Departed ain't got shit on this movie.

  • Departed = "A movie with Hollywood people! AWESOME!!"

    and

Mou gaan dou = "What?? Its in Chinese, I don't wanna read subtitles! LAME!"

It's a sad world we live in.

  • @peterthemonkey SCORSESE SHOULD WON OSCARS FOR "RAGING BULL" FOR SURE....MAYBE FOR "GOODFELLAS"(BECAUSE KOSTNER REALLY NAILED WITH "DANCES WITH WOLVES")....AND FOR "THE LAST THEMPTATION OF CHRIST", I CANT BELIVE THAT SCORSESE LOSE THAT YEAR(1988) AGAINST BARRY LEVINSON FOR A "OK" FILM LIKE "RAIN MAN".

  • @peterthemonkey ...I AGREE THAT THE DEPARTED IN SOME SCENES IS VERY "CLOSE" TO THE ONES IN INFERNAL AFFAIRS....AND ITS A WRONG MESSAGE TO OTHER FILMAKERS "LETS MAKE AN ALMOUST COPY OF A FILM AND WE WILL WIN AN OSCAR"....THAT IS A WRONG MESSAGE!....LOOK I REALLY LIKE THE DEPARTED, WAS VERY GOOD DIRECTED BY A MASTER LIKE SCORSESE AND IT WORKS FOR ME...BUT IT IS TRUE THAT SOMETIMES IS ANNOYING THE "CLOSE" IT GETS TO "INFERNAL AFFAIRS"

  • @peterthemonkey IM NOT WRITING IN "CAPS" FOR MAKE MY ARGUMENTS MORE CONVINCING...I ALWAYS WRITE LIKE THIS...I AGREE IN SOME PART WHAT YO SAID, THE DEARTED SHOULDNT WON THE OCAR FOR BEST PICTURE!, THAT WAS A JOKE, "THE BEST DIRECTOR OSCAR" IS FOR ME OK BECAUSE THE DEPARTED WAS WELL NARRATED, THE SETING IN BOSTON TRULLY WORKS, AND ALSO WORKS THE DINAMIC BETWEEN THE CHARACTERS AND THE WAY THAT THE FILM WAS SHOTED....

  • CAPS LOCK ON CAPS LOCK ON CAPS LOCK ON CAPS LOCK ON CAPS LOCK ON CAPS LOCK ON CAPS LOCK ON CAPS LOCK ON CAPS LOCK ON CAPS LOCK ON CAPS LOCK ON CAPS LOCK ON CAPS LOCK ON CAPS LOCK ON

  • @Gaston088able i read you comment in a raging screaming voice.

  • @sublethalpuppet what's the problem with subtitles? After 10 minutes you forget you're reading them anyway.

  • @Gaston088able

    Why bringing it up then?

Because it's all about the money, why not remaking a true masterpiece, which has an excellent storyline, and that is kinda unknown to most of the viewers?

Well....maybe because masterpieces shouldn't be remade, on the other hand you as a director/studio/whatever would lose a lot of money.

So! we take out the chinese, add some action-packed, nudity showing scenes and voila!

    Get some Oscars!

Btw. writing in CAPS doesnt make your arguments more convincing.

  • OK, IM SAYING THIS BECAUSE IT TRULLY BREAKS MY BALLS READ SO MANY IDIOTIC COMMENTS OF "THE DEPARTED COPIED INFERNAL AFFAIRS"...MOST OF THE PEOPLE HERE CRYING ABOUT THE DEPARTED WON THE MAIN OSCARS... BUT THEY ONLY KNOWS ABOUT INFERNAL AFFAIRS BECAUSE OF THE DEPARTED SUCCES...INFERNAL AFFAIRS IS A GREAT MOVIE, SO IT IS THE DEPARTED! WHAT DO YOU PEOPLE THINK IT IS A REMAKE? A REMAKE IS A FRESH VERSION WITH NEW ELEMENTS BUT THE MAIN STORY IS BASICALLY THE SAME...IF IT NOT, IT ISENT A REMAKE THEN!

  • @TheDefactoAtheist THAT IS A RIDICULOUS ARGUMENT SAYING THE DEPARTED TOOK THE SCRIPT...THE DEPARTED REALLY WORKS AND IT IS TRU FAITHFUL TO THE ORIGINAL VERSION WITH HIS OWN TOUCH!....THE CHARATCER RELATIONSHIPS TRULLY WORKS ON THE DEPARTED ALSO THE WAY THE PLO WAS DIRECTED... WHY SOME PEOPLE CAN DIFERENCE BETWEN A COPY FROM A REMAKE?...STOP CRYING! IT IS STUPID!
