Raw footage from a recent gig at Rooster's Blues House in Oxford, Mississippi. I'm still getting the hang of the DIY configuration; there are a couple of flubs here. This late 60s blues-rock classic from Cream lends itself well to amped-up harp. I'm playing a key of C Marine Band harmonica and there are a few overblows in here.

Adam Gussow, on harp, drums, and vocals, has spent almost 25 years playing harmonica with Sterling "Mr. Satan" Magee, who in the mid-1980s transformed himself into the world's most dynamic one-man blues band. Please visit the Satan and Adam homepage to find out more about this duo.

  • How do you get the "Eb" on the "4" part of the riff? What type of overblow is that? Thanks

  • @corrindion That's an overblow on the 4 hole. It's just the one overblow not that I'm capable of making on that hole.

  • 5 stars well done Adam, you are definitely the best harp player in that band.

  • Adam, to me your harp-blowing has always been top notch, but now as a one man band you seem to have even more raw power! The drum beats really drive it home!

  • @MrJoaodelasa G harps are low harps, and you play the riff on the low part of the harmonica, so the riff would sound way to low. second: on a g harp, the 4 overblow is more difficult to play. third: playing the song in the key of G is probably easier for Gussows vocal range (I suppose). So, it's basically because his version of the song would sound to low on a G harp. The C harp sounds perfect, so why not?

  • This gets my vote for the best different music video on YT !

The vocals over the harp mic make it unique !

  • that was soooo sweet

  • Adam when's the next hill country? I wanna go so bad.

  • adam wat kind of foot pedal do you use for these gis, sounds unbelievable

  • love you man, thanks for the lessons ... but to sing you need to practice like you did with the harmonica..¿Why did not you go for the 2º position with a harp in G? Like the original.

  • holy crap, those first position solos are fantastic. and that riff with the 5 and 6 overblows is mind boggling.

  • insane, thank you.

  • That´s great!
