I don't think It's sad.. i think it's great.! The Bluebell was once 100% steam.. now it isn't, The sooner the bluiebell gets hold of a DEMU before the East Grinstead bit is finished, the better. Then we can have a realistic route covering all the decades up to the original closure of the line.

Lovely shots there mate. Its sad and a happy event, ok thats it the first ever diesel hauled service, no longer 100% steam, but now the Bluebell could attract a few more visitors in the form of Diesel Enthusiasts.

Cheers mate. We won't seeing a diesel working a passenger train on the Bluebell again just yet so the services will be back to 100% steam. I do agree that diesel enthusiasts could be attracted to the line, but not at £30 a time to ride behind a diesel! Believe the 73 leaves the Bluebell next week.
