i think youd be glad to know that the trails around the santa fe dam have been repaved, and the lines redrawn. makes for a way smoother ride!

nice. I ride from the school Durfee, up to the Santa Fe Dam then up the mountains, totaling about 34 miles and every once in a while I head to long beach and back, 60 miles but I've been busy with school lately and a sprained wrist so no biking for me.

I included this in my ride home from work in Pomona to Sierra Madre Canyon. It looks better on your video than in person!

Cool - I wish I was but I had to work.
I was there last Saturday and will probably bike it again on Sunday.
Take care and thanks for visiting and your comment.

This trail is perfect for recreation. This was my trail when I was just started biking. Very good trail, I agree. Last week, I just did Wardlow/LA River Trail to Montebello to San Gabriel River Trail to Sta Fe Dam all the way up to Camp Williams. Took a little breather and lunch up there and back down San Gabriel River Trail to Seal Beach connecting Long Beach back to LA River Trail. Beautiful ride. Roughly 120 miles total, mostly flat. Happy Trails!

Hi Shelby,
Thanks for the comment and a description of your rides. I only go for short distances (less than 30 miles at a time) - I did one ride that was 40 and that was enough for me. My hat is off to you to be able to go that far. I have done the ride you describe, but in pieces. It is a nice bunch of rides but I have never been to Camp Williams. I have done the West Fork of the San Gabriel River - that is a beautiful little ride.

I was just on this trail today. The uphills were actually downhills, and vice versa.

It's a good ride. I was going to go today (12/21/08) but it was just too cold in the AM. I try to do it at least every other week. BTW - there will be a bike ride as part of the Pasadena Marathon. We are planning to ride it is on 3/22/09. I hope to capture as much of it as possible on my video camera and post the best parts on youtube. What do you ride? I ride a blue Bianchi Ocelot that I've had about 9 years. Bob
