on the shaded wooded north hill side at croton park in 06 - there were these giant puffbal mushrooms everywhere - the shade, high heat, and high humidity were perfect for their growth ... some of them were the size of volleyballs ... these are edible ... but never eat wild mushrooms unless you know EXACTLY what you are doing ... if you make a mistake, you can die. no kidding.

  • Although you are just outside of New York this is still bringing back memories of my childhood in British Columbia. There are puffballs in the Pacific Northwest and I remember how the kids like to throw them around

  • I like to sniff the cloud of spores like coccaine, it gets me high.

  • I like to stomp on puffballs. There is a cloud of spores whenever you do. lol.

  • I remember this one time I had seen this huge mushroom, and I was like wow its soo big, "St-ep" and it was full of worms or maggots, it was disgusting, but neat at the same time. XD
