  • It looks like the mesocyclone and main storm were miles away during the end stage of this tornado. It's amazing how stable the vortex is considering the shear essentially blew the storm away from the location of the tornado.

  • IIRC this one was warned by the NWS out of Aberdeen SD asd there was a Severe Thunderstorm Watch in effect for the area and I was stunned as I didn't even know there were thunderstorms in the northeast part of the county. When I heard Tornado Warning due to one on the ground I was flabergasted.

  • As well they tend to have bends in them and look like if u throw a rope in the air how the rope doesn't stay straight it bends in different directions

  • Rope tornados are usually thinner tornados eg. the one in this vid
