An epic night that included a lineup of spoken word poetry all-stars, as well as comedians and singers: Patricia Smith, Lemon Andersen, Oveous Maximus, Regie Cabico, Ngoma, Jesus Papoleto Melendez, Bonafide Rojas, Erica Miriam Fabri & Robin Andre, Osagyefo, Jane LeCroy, Advocate of Wordz, Ocean Vuong, The MarXman, Simply Rob, Eliel Lucero, Jane Ormerod, Thomas Fucaloro, Sylvana Joyce + The Moment, Emanuel Xavier, David Lawton, Vince Royale, Aimee Herman, Carolina Hidalgo, Yenny Love, and Amy Leigh Cutler.

The Inspired Word is one of the country's hottest open mic spoken word poetry/performance series. It happens every week in downtown Manhattan, produced by longtime journalist and former Village Voice columnist Mike Geffner and hosted by HBO Def Poetry star Gemineye and the NYC spoken word legend Nathan P.
