This was played when my brother died returning home fromAfghanistan long live our lost our fallen British heroes!!!!!

I lost touch with my father and the rest of my family on his side 40 years ago due to divorcing parents, after many years of searching and wondering about my heritage I finally made contact with his brother, only to find out that he had died 18 mnths earlier, my Uncle told me that for some generations this was played at family funerals, I love you dad and one day we will meet again after this is played for me. Thanks alot for posting you'll never know what this means to me. Clan Kinghorn

So moving....

Just goes to show that this Scottish instrument is the finest set and most splendid out of them all.
-
@TheBlackDesign True, the 'Rule Britannia' anthem was actually written by two Scotsmen, yet not many people seem to mention that.
-
As far as I'm concerned, there are two genres of music 'bagpipes' and 'non-bagpipes'.

1:44 I am pretty sure is Killin. One of my favourite places in Scotland. I remember sitting on the rocks there after hearing about the death of a dear family friend. I will always remember how peaceful the water was that day and how calming it way for me.
