A quick tutorial outlining how to create a VA (Virtual Analog) sound from scratch on a Kurzweil PC3xx. We start with booting the machine and end with a VA sound that has six sliders assigned to commonly-used parameters (filter freq, filter cutoff, attack, decay, release, and a Kurzweil-specific parameter called "Impact").

  • I bought Kurzweil PC3K6 recently. I did thirds over Layers. When I transpose (In Master), Thirds lose structure. I had your products K2000 and K2661 in which I could transpoz in this way.

    Sorry for my English.

  • @baltik79 How you do the transposition is important -- are you doing this in Setup mode or within a particular Program? I presume you're in Program mode with your reference to Layers. If you're having issues with a particular sound, post a link to the .pc3 file and I'll take a look. Also, so there's no misunderstanding, I don't work for nor do I represent Kurzweil, I just really like their stuff.

  • Thanks so much for posting this awesome video! I am learning so much about my PC3 right now! I don't know if this would be too much work for you, but I would love to see a tutorial on how to program a "bombastic" sounding choir. I never could get that right in my Roland products, and there's probably no hope for me on the PC3 without a little help. Anyway, thanks again! I really hope to see more of these tutorials!

  • @777metalheart777 sure, post a link to a video or audio example of what you're talking about and I'll see what I can do.
