Patrick Lockyer Responds to Macho Video. How CAN we even consider this to be heroic? What for an enemy do we have? "Freedom Fighters" some might say. We older ones who might have experienced 'doodlebugs' and having your capital flattened might have a different slant on all this. For a start, as a war baby I was fortunate to have an early warning system of 'incoming'. Then I also had the RAF defending London. Then I had an 'air raid shelter' to be taken to. When caught out in the city there was the subway system. What DO these dust bowl people have as an alternative? What kind of opposition is there to high tech rockets and night vision and flak jackets and tanks. This video with the one guy in the road is to me like the Chinese trying to be proud of Tianammon Square. Where is the Semper Fi bit? Google 'simon weston' to see what a real hero looks like and stop galmorizing war as it is very childish.
