The best all around, current player in Hockey is Pavel Datsyuk. Nobody is as fluid, as good on defense, can set you up, can score himself, and has his kinda hands, and nifty moves that help his teams earn points in the NHL's new Shootouts.

@ApachePiL0T I love Datsyuk he's a great player with great hands and gets a ton of take a ways but I think you will agree that Sid is better all around faceoffs scoring play making skating being able to read the play and every single team he has ever played on in his life has gotten ridiculously better because of him.

Ima Coyotes fan, how am I biased? I hate the avs and I feel neutral towards the Islanders. So, if anything Im biased towards Tavares. But Duchene is the better player this season, and thats why him, Tyler Myers, and Jimmy Howard are three main competitors for the Calder; not just in my opinion, but every major sports analyst's.

Thats at the beginning of the season. But, the second Duchene took over the rookie scoring title, he started getting more pressure. I havent even heard Tavares' name much anymore. Besides being a star of the week, I really havent heard a peep. Even Myers gets more buzz now
