This was my introduction to Casey. Great to hear the performance again.

Ya. Tori Amos wannabe, but with his own music. I just don't like him using her trademarks: red hair, straddling piano bench, and really each movement and gesture... Just no. Voice and song is great though!

@schroeder666 I totally agree, the cheap red hair dye, the straddling of the piano and the arm/hand gestures alone just cry out Tori, I give him props for doing his own material but then again it all too sounds very reminiscent. I feel queesy and embarrassed watching him and I hate that feeling.

He has an angelic voice... And no, I don't think he's over-influenced by Tori... I don't even like 50% of Tori's songs but I have almost all of his albums... And love them!

As far as I can tell, sitting like someone else sits does not constitute plagiarism.
I'm a huge Toriphile and a huge fan of Casey's as well, and aside from "Blood," nothing else from his albums even vaguely resembles Tori's work. Mind you, I'm not saying that "Blood" resembles Tori, I don't think it does at all. Aside from the fact that it has piano and electronic drum-looping and "To Venus and Back" utilizes such things.
He's comparable to Sarah McLachlan, if anyone. & even that's a stretch.
