@fuaelo Gotta agree it is hard to choose the best live version from '78. If you're basing it just on the guitar intro then Roxy and Winterland are right up there. Overall, I might choose Passaic 9-19 as the best. Then again, there's the Largo version...

@iimctjm I agree, that is probably the best version of all time. I wish there was video of it though!

I miss the old Bruce that would stretch out like this and just play his guitar like a kid playing in his bedroom for hours just because he loves the instrument :) He really is a great guitar player, aside from being an amazing songwriter. Peace to all Bruce fans and RIP Clarence.

I think that is not easy to choose the best live version of this song in the 78 tour.
To me is the first that I ever heard...THE NIGHT AT THE ROXY......That one sounds amazing and I would say is the best....
Is there anybody alive out there who thinks the same?....jejeje

Im telling you.. He is one of the most underated Guitarist!!! His songwriting and live performances over shadow the guitar, but the boy can play!

@iimctjm Is that on youtube?

Listen to that guitar man...
Springsteen is a genius...look at his face when he is playing, so much emotion, so much feeling. The master showman at work in his prime.
