Herman Cain and Ron Paul win Tea Party Patriots straw polls

Herman Cain and Ron Paul won a pair of tea party straw polls Sunday, a show of strength among grassroots activists for the long-shot presidential hopefuls.

Each captured a different straw poll at the close of the Tea Party Patriots policy summit in Phoenix. Paul, the longtime Texas congressman, easily won a larger online poll of tea party activists with 49 percent of the vote, followed by 12 percent for Cain and 9 percent for Sarah Palin. Cain, the Atlanta businessman, won the straw poll of activists taken at the summit itself, taking 22 percent of the vote. Tim Pawlenty won 16 percent of the vote in that poll, and Ron Paul had 15 percent.

@xWren Everybody knows that paul supporters go to the online polls and clear their cookies over and over so they can make it look like the vast majority of people want him. All you have to do is personally know one paul supporter to find that out, because they are always trying to get others to help them do it. That's why so many people have stopped even voting on the online polls, because Paulbots take all of the fairness & honesty out of the polling process.

@ssf1111 Ron paul actually was the candidate 1st & formost supported by the tea Party & some contribute it getting started due to ron Paul..

thas was alll before as I suspected would happen, the T-prty would get Hijacked by insides & the establishment which it 1/2 has. I dunno if it can recover, but most T-Party people I have talked to dispise Palin acting like shes their leader at times
