The Bible also speaks against trimming your beard or eating pork - that puts you in the same category as homosexuals. Get over it.

I was going to write a lengthy comment about this video, but the dislikes speak for themselves.

@radicaldreamer927 You are correct sir, I appreciate people who actually research the 500+ year history of rabbinical cratique of sodom instead instead of inventing an interpretation that they find convenient. I have some other information debunking the other passages traditionally used to persecute homosexuals as well. Send me a message some time if you'd like to chat. :)

@radicaldreamer927 4. I noticed in the list of videos on the side a video entitled "We Believe God but Not the Bible." Uploaded by you. Way to shoot yourself in the foot with that painfully obvious contradiction to this video.
5. GAY CHRISTIANS FOR THE WIN!!!!

I mean, how can you honestly believe that just because Paul happened to get his letters to the Romans and Corinthians in the Bible, he's automatically flawless in his interpretation of God's word? He isn't God, nor is he the Messiah, so his teachings were bound to have some flaws in them! He's just another regular guy, like you, the guy in the video whose name I don't know. That means that while I may agree with him on some things, I disagree with others. I DISagree with his sexist views! (cont.

3. Really? The apostle Paul? That sexist?! Are you JOKING? He said that the effeminate would not inherit the kingdom of God. So, no matter how much love a dude has in his heart, no matter how much compassion he has, even if he happens to be straight, if he acts even a little bit femenine, HE'S GOING TO HELL. Also, Paul said that women should not speak in church, but you're still going to rely on what he said to back up your bigotry? You really need to reexamine your morals. (cont.)

2. You probably also believe that Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed because of homosexuality. Ahem... you are wrong. FAIL. The truth is that the story makes mention of a group of men attempting gang rape. Are you really about to accuse homosexuals of being rapists? Oh, and that mention of gang rape hadn't come along until God had already decided to destroy the cities. Before, then, no mention of homosexuality in any way. There were other, more important factors that went into play. (cont.)

1. Jesus' teachings were consistent in that they taught us to love one another, and to have mutual undrstanding of one another's plight. There are MANY things in the OT that are not compatible with those teachings, and did you consider that maybe Jesus didn't think he had enough time to cover them all with his disciples? Leviticus is one of those books that contain very hateful, very negative verses, including the ones against homosexuality. It is incompatible with Jesus' teachings. (cont.)

@tylersnoboarder even if that was true at that altitude, it doesn't change the fact that at that height, the entire world would have frozen over because of the water levels rising over the highest mountain. and salt water combining with fresh water would have destroyed 70% of agriculture and would also mean fresh water wouldn't even be around to drink. with that much pressure, the water would seep through the deepest level. the world itself can't contain that much water and stay sustainable.

@Cougar139tweak Romans 1: 26 and 27, new testament reference
-
@lolwtfWHY Seeing as how humans, being intelligent creations, would have rapidly realized the lack of genitalia necessary for procreation, i doubt the necessity of this command for the purpose of procreation. An additional note, there are references to homosexuality in the new testament, see Romans 1:26 and 27,

@501poundmiget Scientists have found that in the past oxygen levels were significantly higher in the atmosphere, at approx 5 million years ago (the dating o rock strata is a completely different debate) either way, at this time the much higher concentration of oxygen would have allowed people to survive at much higher altitudes. A note, farther into the past oxygen levels were much lower, but this was billions of years (again, estimated, different debate) before our current era.
-
@sandvikboy94 Just a note, current biblical scientists believe that the causation of a global flood would be enormous hypercanes, hurricanes on a phenomenal scale. These hypercanes, created by the eruption of underwater volcanoes vaporizing tremendous amounts of water and ice in the ocean, would have the power to block out the sun, and to cover the world in a 40 day torrential downpour.

I don't need God. I live a fulfilling, morally correct life in a manner that allows me to attain happiness without harming the happiness of another human being.
I don't believe in God, but I'm pretty sure that's what he'd want.

Personally, I believe that when the Bible said that "a man shouldn't lay with anouther man" it was ment purley for procreation. I think that since adoption is now an option, that could (metephorically) be taken out of the Bible. I think that there is nothing wrong with being homosexual or bisexual etc. etc. and I'm Christian.
-
@agathorsmith123grub and 150 days and another 2 months for the water to go down. considering the fact that they were in levels high enough to cover every mountain they would have died due to lack of air and sub zero temperatures (wearing nothing but clothes as thick as burlap) and animals would have died from either sickenss or temperatures out of their ecosystems etc. the bible is a load of horseshit pure and simple. like all scriptures.
-
yeah, and jesus also understood what you don't understand---unconditional love---which means acceptance of everything and everyone.
and, yeah, let's face it already-bible was change thrue may years by many politicians who wanted to control their nation and make them work in the way they wanted...so,you think there was a place for homosexuality if they wanted their nation to multiple by higher birthrate so they can have more "work bees"...
come on
-
I agree 100%
Do you believe someone can be set free from homosexuality? I do.
-
There is only one commandment. BE NICE
-
@soooooomething Maybe it is, I just know how it is here in Tennessee.

Yay! Religious videos! Let's get out the popcorn ready for the flame war comments!
3...2...1...FIGHT!

I just can't stand how christians always try to look down on people who are gay or of other religions. I am an asexual atheist myself, and don't care about other people's lifestyles, but it's extremely irritating to constantly hear complaining about something like that just because some fictional book doesn't allow it.
-
@agathorsmith123grub Apparently, the water that came from that rain also was enough to cover all land on the entire planet, even though rain is the result of the vaporized version of the water that already exists on the planet.
-
@chet4848 Well, maybe things are different in New York.
-
@soooooomething Make that two out of thirty. Also the fact that I was born gay makes me think you are lying. Of course you could always name the other 29 gays you know that say they chose to be gay.
Sorry but honestly stop cherrypicking scripture, If you want to follow Leviticus next time you see your neighbor working in his yard on Saturday (or Sunday if you "believe" that is the Sabbath) put that man to death, also if your bride is not a virgin on her wedding night, kill her on her fathers doorstep, Rape some girl? no problem....just give her father 50 shekels of silver marry her (not her choice) problem solved...need some extra cash? Have a daughter? sell her into sexual slavery.
