The native peoples were examples of man's ability to live in harmony with nature.
There are also a perfect example of the propensity of the US gov't to lie, cheat, steal and re-write popular history and make the victims the villians.
It was not enough to steal from them and exterminate most of them, we had to demonize them for over 100 yrs after they were no longer a threat.
Is there a lesson here?

im not sure why Cherokees knocked out blacks for being part Cherokee,im not really up to date on this blah blah,nor do i care for any tribal monies,i do know alot of whites cliam this for monies and get away with it big time,like how many Indians are born blond and blue eyed,but i still love my Native blood weather accepted or not,its there rather whites accept or not.they dont really like anyone but themselves anyways i guess

Hey, don't forget the Pamunkey and Mattaponi. I here a lot of Cherokee but Powhatan folks get left out sometimes.

I'm what one would consider black...my great grandparents on both sides were Cherokee...I am very proud of my Native American ancestry. This is a deep vid my brother.

Remember that we are not all the same as portrayed in the movies. My people hunted caribou in the winter months and fished in the summertime. We didn't wear warbonnets etc. Maybe a few Bluejay feathers. Men and women wore their hair long and I think is is a hell of a lot better then "the credit crunch."
