I would suggest you have a conversation with the coach and tell him your desire to play outside and opposite and that this is a important part of you being on the team. Also on your high school team play outside or opposite.

i'm a girl, 5 ft 5 inches....and i'm currently a sophmore in highschool. i'm the toughest hitter on the team (im an outside), but i'd like to play in college as well. Is there any possibility i would be able to continue to play? like, keeping my hitter position?

Hello, i have trouble getting back to a spiker ready position after blocking on the 4 position. Whenever that happens i tend to not do my full approach because the minute i back up i sometimes fine myself stuck and not get the full advantage spike cause of my approach. I do run back as fast as i can to get in position but once the ball is passed and set its already up in the air while still backing up. Also i have a weird situation where i tend to hit the ball and its just a flop with no spin.

Ok im 5'10 and am forced to hit middle because I'm the tallest on my hs and club team. I really want to hit outside in college and I'm working on my vertical jump and getting stronger with my swing but is their anything else I can do? Any tips?
