  • No offence? but I find it hard when teachers speak in a different language.

  • @mm54834 The system shown here is a simpler (i.e., fewer computations needed) way to describe and display your data.

I've seen the system you have learned in your course, and it is a legitimate (Tukey-approved, even) technique for identifying outliers. This often also include the minimum and maximum. I tried to post links to websites with more information, but YouTube won't let me post them for some reason.

  • @mm54834 when i say outliers i mean the smallest and the largest number before it is a outlier

  • but in my class the whiskers are not the min or the max they are the outliers of the data. or Q1-1.5(IQR)= and Q3+1.5(IQR)= so why is there a difference between this description and my class description?

  • Thank You mathguyzero. And people, people calm it down over there with the offensive comments.

  • No offense but this didn't help for shit...

  • Thank you! Very helpful, straight and to the point. to the people talking crap, these vids are to help refresh your mind, not explain everything for you.

  • well i found this moderatley helpful, thankyou

  • Quartile first... lol.
