  • can you explain how you end a triangle without the arm and with a gable grip because i tried it today in class but it didnt work. I had my gable grip around my shin but it was around his cheek and i couldnt get it. Can you explain please?

  • It has to do with your leg and squeezing power as well.Ham string muscles cut into the neck while squeezing your elbows together. Keep drilling...you'll get it.

  • Hey Ari! I would just like to know, what is the difference between Rubber Guard and Mission Control? Thanks in advance, you guys are awesome!

  • Rubber Guard is the type of guard while mission control is the starting position (wrist to ankle only) in the rubber guard series.

  • question, i noticed that you guys hold your shin instead of trying to get the arm infront and triangling. why do you guys do this? does it work?

  • Yes it works. We hold the shin in order to make the transition tight. You DO NOT have to pull the arm across the face and body (al la Gracie JJ). You can finish the triangle right there with the gable grip and hugging the neck and knee.

  • @ummoli25 Try angling your body for a tighter choke. Angle mean strangles.

  • @ummoli25 the gable only cinches it the arm should already be in there look at the vid again

  • Yeah, I'm a beginner and working rubber guard into my game and I love this move. I have really long legs and good flexibility and have been able to go straight into a wicked triangle. As I transition into the triangle just slightly angling to grab my ankle I can very quickly scoop that foot in and sit back before he knows what hit him. As soon as my partner sees the triangle coming they tend to pull away and that leaves for more space to hook my foot in.

  • @theGRANDharvest , There's a good many of them already. Dan Hardy, George Sotiropoulus, John Hathaway, and bunch of other guys. Chuck Liddel just started training with them quite recently.

  • I usually go straight from the meathook to the bolt lock variation. It's very easy and very effective. If ur grappling partner starts getting familiar then u can mix it up by using the asylum sweep.

  • this move is kosher..gr8 jobs guys

  • This move is so high percentage for me, I think it just requires a certain amount of flexibility.
