Music video with a focus on the Hoth Battle and Asteroid chase scenes from "Star Wars Episode 5 - The Empire Strikes Back", which is simply an awesome movie. The music is a techno version of the Asteroid field music from the same movie.

Song: Asteroid Field and Finale
Artist: Meco

DISCLAIMER: I DID NOT MAKE THIS VIDEO FOR PROFIT, JUST FOR ENTERTAINMENT. STAR WARS IS OF COURSE NOT MINE AND IT BELONGS TO IT'S RIGHTFUL OWNER.

  • Ten people couldn't get their groove on with the Force.

  • When I went to the theater to see "Star Trek: The Motion Picture" they showed a preview to "Empire"- It showed a lot of footage from the asteriod field.

It COMPLETELY ruined the star trek movie for me (not that it was that great to begin with)- I would have been happier watching the preview over and over again...

  • LOL the URL of the video is right: this song pwns

  • Loved the music & movie clips. But none of it was synched up to satisfaction. In the Empire Strikes Meco theme, all parts of the Hoth Battle & the Asteroid chase are generally laid out in order. Had I the equipment you have, I would have timed all clips to the music cues. The moment it got to about 3:15 , I would have switched to the Falcon entering the Asteroid field & no sooner. All laser fire would be synched accordingly. Sorry to be a critic but there are no good vids of this on Youtube.

  • Nicely Done!

  • Disco wasn't dead in 1980 yet, (although record companies declared it dead since they thought they were losing money because with disco people were buying mostly the singles not the albums) However Meco did this record deliberately more rock-ish or "new wave" after a wave of massive "rock" hits like "My Sharona", Blondie's "Call me", and others. The influence of "Call me" is evident on "The force" track.

  • Iconic scenes from and iconic movie.

    And yes, this is Disco.

    Great job.

  • @jobiwan101 It ain't disco. Doesn't even sound like disco. You are confusing it with the Star Wars theme Meco did a couple of years prior to this. Disco was dead by the time this Meco EP came out in 1980

  • Brilliant! Always loved this Meco track. Great visuals too!

  • 5:18-5:45 is my favorite part.
