What was the ending like? Probably not a happy one, and by happy one , I meant the guy didn't end up with Pak Yin's character.

Blood-stained Azaleas is a wenyi noir in which Pak Yin sheds her good-girl image to play a rich widow who seduces and then tries to corrupt an upstanding young man, a femme fatale and an early prototype of the Hong Kong strongwoman.

Thanks for posting the clip. The dialogue was very interesting and very reflective of people in the 50's. I especially like 白燕 ! A huge fan of hers.

The film may prompt debates on gender politics in hindsight, but there's no denying its accomplishments. Director Lee Sun-fung is one of Cantonese cinema's true stylists. Here, he tells his story as much with plot as with atmosphere, which was rare among Cantonese films and rarer still in the early 1950s and it is Ho Look-ying's expressive, evocative photography that makes it possible.

vylann - I read so much praises about the directorship and cinematography on this movie.  Not to mention Pak Yin playing an antagonist which was rare. Will it be possible if you can upload the rest of the movie? It's such a treasure, yet I can't find it released as the VCD/DVD.
