NHL Fight - Zdeno Chara vs Eric Cairns @ Ottawa

This fight happened at the end of the second period between Zdeno Chara from Ottawa Senators and Eric Cairns from Pittsburgh Penguins on March 21, 2006 in Scotiabank Place Ottawa.

Pittsburgh's Eric Cairns was assessed five penalties totaling 40 minutes - including a double game misconduct. Cairns, who got a major for spearing Zdeno Chara, was also assessed a fighting major and a misconduct. Chara was given a fighting major and a misconduct.

At the end of the game, Ottawa Senators became the first team to reach 100 points in 2006 NHL season with a 5-2 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins.
