I thought that platies and guppies cannot interbreed. I think it was just platies with swordtails. Mollies and guppies, I dont think its possible.

do you have any picsor videos of the babies yet? I have guppies and platys in my community so would be intrigued as to what a cross would look like

Unfortunately the few babies that remained died, some were deformed and the rest did not last past a couple of months. I want to put my platies and some guppies together in one tank again and see if I can get them to breed again.

my fries were fine but some died but the rest was ok wen they were atleast 6 or 7 weeks old the fry were a bit big and there colour was showing and plus it looked different it looked like a molllie coz it had a mollie tail and it had a guppy body but it was spotted and some more was different and i had about 25 fry i would of had 37 but 12 died and 4 of my hybrid fishes came out same as the fry guppy mother but it had a yellow body with only a few spot i hope u will be succesful in every matin

I have a tank with guppies and platy. The guppie is pregnant. I noticed a white ball floating at the top of the tank, so I thought she might be giving birth. I put her in the breeding net and a few minutes later there was another white ball floating at the top of the tank. I am not sure what it is. Do you have any idea? Is is a undeveloped egg?

Could be. Both guppies and platies are live bearers, so if they give birth to eggs then they are most certainly undeveloped eggs of some sort.
