Using 445nm diode laser producing no less than 1.2 watts CW. Focused well and waist impinged on plastic endcap of USB modem. Viewed through goggles tiny yellow micro flames are produced instantly. Once there is enough residual heat and molten plastic to sustain a fire a flame is present when the laser is switched off. Also note the popping sound the plastic makes!

SAFETY NOTICE! Class IV lasers are dangerous! NEVER and I mean NEVER perform any kind of experiment as shown in this video without proper safety precautions. Lasers of this power should NEVER be operated by anyone unfamiliar with class IV laser safety procedure and use of proper personnel protection equipment (PPE) at ALL times. Failure to adhere this warning may result in serious personal injury to yourself or spectators close by.

For those wondering about the laser used head over to laserpointerforums-dot-com and search for username yobresal. Luke does good work and for $180 you have a ready to use laser right away!
