http://drivencarreviews.com/ Fiat left the American market back in 1983. In 2011 it's returning in a small way. Literally. The 500 is nearly 7 inches shorter than a MINI Cooper but it's long on style. Tom Voelk travels to San Diego to preview the US version of an Italian icon.

  • It's a sexy car, but I went with a Toyta Yaris because it beats the Fiat in every important category in my book: MPG/Reliability/Storage Space/Passanger Space/Price. I wouldn't mind driving someone else's Fiat 500 though. :-)

  • thats true on paper the focus should do 36 37 mpg

  • @leadandbrass1 i dont know why it is rated so low. the people who own it says it get about 40 mpg.

  • Premium fuel? The cost just went up.

  • i like this car but i dont know about the reliability since this car is made in mexico and with fiat owning chrysler it might be a recipe for disaster. fiat cars of the past have not been very reliable at all

  • Hey tom, can you review Alfa Romeo Brera ?

  • A great review. thank you.

  • @leadandbrass1 tell me. is your car italian? thought so.

  • 33mpg? my 2010 focus gets 40 and its a 4 door and it needs prem gas what da fuck, thats a lot just to give up to have a cool car, but ok i like it

  • They're bringing the Abarth! :D
