I started watching Smallville partway into Season 5, so I knew I was missing something when they would refer to these past characters so I went out and bought used copies of seasons 1-5. Anyway, I really liked the episode in which Alicia returned, took a bullet for Clark, but then they killed her off next episode. Bummer! Wish she had gotten a happier ending, or at least that she didn't die alone, feeling untrusted, an outcast. So beautiful. I thought Lana was pretty but Alicia is amazing.

personally i feel alicia is truer than lana and i wish they would of kept her alive. and the only reason she became so messed up is because of her parents, who knows what mental trauma she went through being locked up in that lead room for hours to days. her parents didnt accept her and tried to strip her of who she is... they messed her up mentally and emotionally; they abused her.
