  • What are your thoughts on covering the action in a single layer of masking or even some sort of thin packing tape, after using the clay and before coating it in the shoe polish? This way you can be sure none of the Devcon gets into the action. Would the gap made by that tape be too much?

  • @TurdFerguson98 Yeah the gap of the tape would just be to much. The whole point is to get the action tight against the bedding material so that it does not move around

  • hey nice video. Just wondering. I've got a 700 sps in 7mm just wondering if it's difficult removing the trigger assembly and putting it back together. I don't have a manual and looks a little daunting and i don't wanna fill my trigger full of devcon. I could use tape but rather have it out of the way.

  • did the bedding naturaly make it floated?

  • @wildernesseducation Alright, that makes sense. Thanks for the tutorial. Very concise.

  • nice vid, if it was me, i would have stiffened the forend by packing with devcon, the 10note trick does not mean you are not getting barrrel / forend contact during firing, or even when prone on a bipod.

    nice neat work !

  • just finished the series, thanks very much. i do all my own work and im gonna do a little bedding project on a singleshot .22 as its my guinea pig rifle. have refinished and stained its wood. sanded polished and completely reblued all the steel gun is 75 years old and looks brand new. just free floated its barrel last night.. now time for some bedding. Appreciecate the videos and i like how thorough you are in your work.

  • how were your groups before the bedding. nice vid!
