Paul Mason built a one-off prototype 1/4" carbon/kevlar shell; it's a beast at 8x14" plus wood hoops just to take it all the way over the top.

  • Hey man, just one more question what's the size of your tom tom, is it 9 x 12?

  • @RubeenVars It's a 8x12 - no 9x12 back in the 60's as far as I know. I've always played an 8x12, even on new kits.

  • Man, that snare drum sounds amazing, but what impressed me the most were your toms, are they made out of maple? birch? Great video, btw.

  • @RubeenVars Thanks for the compliments! That kit was a Ludwig Standard, so 3-ply maple/poplar/maple shells with reinforcement rings.

  • @Plays2 - Coated G1 batter and Orchestral 300 snare side. Thanks!

  • are those blue strata Ludwigs?

  • @SplitHoof Indeed, they are! 12/14/16/22 - I love them!
