Crysis on my Inspiron 9300

Playing Crysis demo on my Dell Inspiron 9300 laptop. 1.6Ghz single core cpu pinmodded to 2.13 Ghz. Geforce 6800 GO overclocked core speed to 361Mhz from 290Mhz. Crysis settings on medium, water:low, Shaders:Medium, Objects:Medium, Physics:Medium, others on low. 1Gb installed ram. Not bad running considering what it's running on, and they say my laptop will not play this game. Pft.


Because of the few comments asking for specs and help, I'm posting this info.. I used the drivers version 169.04 with the Modded INF file both from www.Laptopvideo2go.com, I have found these to be the smoothest for Crysis. Also, overclock your video card, people will say, oh that's stupid, that's risky, well it is if you're stupid and manage to continue playing the game blindly due to an enormous amount of artifacts on the screen! So if you smell smoke, or start seeing artifacts, and your computer doesn't safe down boot from the heat, shut it off and underclock it.

I also have lapped my CPU and GPU cores with arctic silver 5 paste, after cleaning them off, this manages heat transfer better.

Make sure you have a manual fan app, such as I8Kfangui, so you can keep your laptop's fans on high as you play..

Not sure what else to give except that shaders above Low quality kill the frame rates in this game as you have probably noticed, so turn post processing and water down to low and put shaders to medium.. and lower that resolution.

I just sold this beast. I will dearly truly miss it. You can get it with the 6800 for maybe 350 on ebay. Forums are cheaper.

hay u can run it on a single core cpu! on my old smd athalon 2.0 it ran crysis wars on low but it ran!

Dude I would not miss my dell 9300, it sucks, it cant run anything, the internet takes forever, only thing I can do is paint and use microsoft programs...
